Hi,
This thread would be for anyone who wants to learn the electric guitar, mainly solo-ing, or rhythm. Able to teach acoustic as well but my lessons are more towards the electric guitar.
Let me introduce myself briefly before stating what you would learn in the lessons.
I have been playing the electric guitar for 6 years, play the bass in a church band (though my major instrument would be the guitar), outside band which plays a variety of genres and have more practical knowledge than theory as I am a self-taught musician (I have been using the internet as the tools for my resources and my dad who advices me). I am currently undergoing a diploma in Sonic Arts, which is a music course catered more towards sound engineering if some of you are not familiar with it. Therefore I can say that I am able to teach lessons which are more PRACTICAL based and not so much on theory though I do know the scales, but not in-depth explanation on the notes, which we call "tau gey". Able to share only basic theory like note reading and time signatures.
Practical wise, I am able to teach you to an intermediate standard, such as guitar techniques which includes shredding, sweep picking, tapping, bending, etc. I have not taken guitar examinations but have passed auditions such as to enter Jammerz Arena and of a standard whereby I am able to share my knowledge.
The genres of music that I am able to teach would be rock, metal, mainstream, pop, hardcore, indie, funk. Almost any genre. I major more in solo-ing and more of a speed and technical player. So if that's what you want to learn, you have found yourself an afforable place to learn.
Please bring your own guitar.
The rates are below market rate as I have not gone for any lessons neither have I attained any cert. What I can do is assure you the quality of the lessons as my motivation and passion throughout the years has enabled me learn on my own and thus, no worries that the lessons are not of standard as I am not a beginner but an intermediate player.
Lessons Available
Electric Guitar - Practical: $30/hour
Acoustic Guitar - Practical: $30/hour
Theory - You can ask me the basics during your practical lessons but I do not have in-depth theory knowledge.
Songwriting(Lyrics): $25/hour
Songwriting(Song Structure): $30/hour
Please feel free to contact me for any queries or to apply.
