Indian rosewood is one of the most popular and musically expressive tonewoods in the world. Among Taylor’s solid-wood guitars, rosewood is normally reserved for the 700, 800 and 900 Series, but the 400 Rosewoods now feature rosewood - with lustruous gloss finishes - in a more accessible price range. The non-cutaway 410e-R Rosewood blends the time-honored Taylor Dreadnought shape with a classic rosewood and spruce tonewood pairing to offer players a quintessential acoustic workhorse guitar, especially for flatpickers and strummers looking for strong tonal output, good low-end growl, and strong, clear trebles.
The special-edition Taylor 410e is a dreadnought with extra warmth and depth. It pairs its signature stika spruce top with back and sides made from Indian rosewood. The result is a three-dimensional low end and plenty of top-end sparkle. As with all Taylor dreadnoughts, the 410e-R has a broad dynamic range - even when picked aggressively, notes and chords ring out clearly, with a driving attack that really highlights the 410e-R's fullness and projection. It comes gig ready, being factory equipped with Taylor's renowned ES2 Expression System electronics for natural tone and dynamics in a stage-friendly direct out.
