Anyway, to answer your question, it really depends whether the custom officers want to give you trouble or not...
But usually you can pass off the guitar as yours, provided you just bring one or two guitars back.
But if you DO get taxed, it's 10% of sales tax, provided you have a receipt of it.

If can, try putting some old stickers on the hardcase, old/rusty strings on the guitar - to make it look used and personal. Say you're musician and this is your working tool. If nothing else work and if it's an expensive guitar, do what everyone does in Malaysia, BRIBE 'em !! :lol:
