Tama Iron Cobra Or Speed Cobra

Which is better?Tama Iron Cobra Double or Speed Cobra double.Seen alot of positive and negative remarks abt these
two model.Tried asking at Music Theme & Swee Lee abt the Speed Cobra and both company is out of stocks.Is it that
good?Singapore should organise a Musical instrument fair,like those in europe.Where all the music instrument company will display their products to sell.Where people can try and decide whether to buy it or not,just like I.T show or Comex
show.What you guys think.

IMO, which is better depends on how u play, the type of music u play. The one which suits u is the 'better' one. Swee Lee shld be having its yr end sale in dec, if u can wait that is a good time to buy. As for companies in SG selling musical instruments, well, it is ideal to have such shows but the local market IMO is small, IIRC renting is not cheap in mega events such as IT Show, Comex. As for trying of instruments, anyone who have been to some of the larger players in SG, do not allow testing of equipment, unless u know someone there or u are some big shot musician. This is totally ridiculous if u are in the States.

yup i totally agree with you.It's hard to buy something if you can't even try out.You might just end up not using it as it's not suitable for you.

I have tried the Iron Cobra (not speed cobra), feel is good and responsive. Some people find it too tight, I find it ok. The pedals I find hard are DW. Then again, it is probably due to the tension set on it.
