for t he above.. any out can help me with the fingering. how the fingering should be place??
i slow down my CD but still cant make out the sound.
thank you

hahahhaha..i just learned that song today. i dont think theres a fixed way cos malmsteen used his pinky..but i didnt cos my pinky is kinda weak. i learned part by part.. started by playing real slow and then slowly speed up..the intro should be quite easy cos the notes sound repeatitive..and i think you ll have to alternate pick to get to the speed..

If you happen to have the Full Shred vcd have a look at how Yngwie plays it. If you don't try getting it off some online downloading software. Watching how he plays it might help a little.

Dude, learn to use your pinky! :) It's the most important finger!

(how do you play Arpeggios From Hell without it?)

yeah esp since his stuff is so variated on de fret board making it really a pain in de ass if u dun use de last finger.

It's well-know that Yngwie plays predominantly with 3 fingers, and usually slides to sound the 4th note. He's got super big hands so he can afford to zip around mostly on 3 fingers. Not us.

hey guys thank for your help
... just to clarify as to wat your posting is...

1. pinky is a must in order to run from 3rd fret to 7th ??
my pinky is weak. ( at least it improved a bit, since i studied this book called "speed mechanic for Lead guitarist" by troy stetina. highly recommend this tutorial book)

2. my next question is.. do you roll down to the adjcent string on the 7th fret OR.... pressed down two string at the same time? (it seem impossible to do that.) would anyone shed some lights.?? thank you

Yes i seem his video right now( sorry i am kind of slow in realising his magical touch on the guitar) his alternative picking can be liken to a bumble bee flapping its wing, very small action movement 'n' precise. how do you practise that?

where do i dl this?
ares don seen to have it.

eh. just alternate pick the way u do? cos i think he uses his thumb knuckle instead of wrist to do the alternate picking.

Last time i got it off Kazaa. But i managed to acquire the vcd. If you're really desperate to see it, pm me, i'll burn and mail a copy of it to you.

Yea, he anchors his hand on the bridge and use those 2 main fingers to do the work. Take note he often changes the angle of attack on the strings with the pick to accomodate for more efficient picking.

the trick to this song again is... hantam.. and that parts u posted.. is using first finger and pinky.. and u HAVE to alt pick.. if not u wont get the right speed..

Eh, i just realized that if you used economy picking to tackle the song, it'll be a lot easier. The transition from the 7th fret E string to 7 fret A string, instead of picking down on the E and up on the A, you go down on the E and down on the A. Takes a while if you aren't used to it. But i feel it's a more effiecient way of nailing it :D
