SX Strat keeps buzzing

i need help with me SX strat

ive been playing with my ibanez gio for like close to 10 months and i haven taken out my SX from my cupboard since then..

so i plugged in my SX to my amp..

then my sx started buzzing like crazy when i turned on my overdrive
on clean oso got slight buzzing..

however when my fingers touch the input jack or the metallic part of the wire the buzzing stops..

i need help cos i need both guitars to work

my amp sounds perfectly alright with my ibanez..

so please suggest ways to fix this prob please?

Yo bro..i believe(think&surmised) that the problem is the input jack...
the same thing happened to my friend..kept his guitar in cupboard and didn't play for a long period of time...

he went to a shop in peninsular(forgot which one) and they checked out his problem,fixed it and now the guitar is working fine....

try to cleanup the jack in put 1st b4 sending your guitar to the shops. who knows its might be ok, probably try to use contact cleaner or wd40 to clean it. all the best, bro.

lol ok i think your jack is quite loose or spoilt not much harm done nothing a quick setup cant handle

o ya did you try it with different wires sometimes it could be the wire problem mine was faulty also then i changed it and no buzzing

mine is when i never touch the strings got the zzzzzzz sound coming out. when touch the strings silence haha. when i on my distortion, the buzz is damn loud LOL

does the buzzing sound comes from all the strings or just either the top few or bottom few.

if that is the case. i think its the saddle. it might just be alittle low nearing the frets thus buzzing sound. that could be fixed with an ellen key i think.

or go to davis and pay 30 bucks.

didnt know they charge $30 for something u could do yourself... wow... so the new players would end up losing here. oh well, we've all been down that road right. haha.
i wonder if the threadstarter's guitar is still buzzing... dunno where he went off to le.

Screw it i bought an epiphone special II and samick royale..

I gave my SX strat to a cousin whose starting out
He brought it to some shop which charged him like 50 bucks to change the input jack and rewire the volume and tone knobs...
