Yes strings. can you guys recommend me some ways of trying to make the strings last longer? i am using d'dario .10-.46 currently. i just put mine on on saturday and it rusts extremly fast. i heard that d'dario strings rust very fast. is that true? can i also get a few recommendations on strings that will last longer other then dr strings which are super ex haha. thanks guys.

well, its best if you clean u'r strings everytime after playing. and when u'r not playing, keep it in a bag.
i've just recently changed to d'dario. that time i left it in the bag without cleaning, it was quite rusty the next day. so, yar. i guess d'dario rusts easily.
i use fast fret. so, maybe that also helps.

oh ok i do clean it after playing. any recomendations for strings that last longer? and where to get fast fret and how much is it . thanks !

maybe u can try using DR extra stringlife after u play...i use it after i play my guitar..and my strings doesnt rust as fast

Dean Markley? Sometimes I'm too lazy to clean the strings using fast fret so I just put my guitar in the bag. This happened quite a few times and it doesn't rust at all...not one bit. But I'm using 9s, so I'm not sure if there's any difference...

in addition to whatever fluid that have been recommended, bear in mind that the D'Addario brand of (guitar) strings, is one of the least resistant to the elements.

yeah thats why i keep changing.. and i put it in the bag.
how much is the dr?
and erm what is like the "standard" life of strings.
1 month?

fast fret is 7 bucks. i got em at davis.

Yes, use Fast Fret.
Clean the strings everynight and apply Fast Fret everyday or two. That's if you play every single day.

which are u refering to? blue steel or tite-fit?

string life is subjective. it depends how oftern you play and how the condition of the strings progress from there. there are people who have to change strings once a week and some once a year...

I find that this method works extremely well. Yes i mean extremely!!!

Dap alittle DR stringlife on the GHS treated string cloth and wipe. Thats it. simple and fast. U'll see the cloth turning black.. No joke.. Even if its new string. And u'll see ur strings shinier.

I wonder why.... hmm....

I use Dean Markley Blue Steels 010 coupled with the fast fret for excellent results, however the quickness of rusting also depends on the acidity of ur sweat.
