Hi all, i wanna check if anyone here heard before that strings for piezzo guitars is different from the normal kind?Is there strings made specially for piezzo guitars or i can just use the normal strings that we use for our electric guitars?
I presume you're talking about electric guitars with piezo pickup installed? Just use normal electric guitar strings. Most piezo pickups for electric guitars are designed to be able to work with normal electric strings. Ive heard that the DR ZEbra strings are designed for this and supposed to work better. Not readily available here so I didn't try to buy those yet
From what i know, piezo is a type of contact microphone, it amplifies the vibrations so if you got a good wood body that's resonant the strings should not matter.
