strat pickups

i'm looking for a kinda fat blues tone on my strat and my current pups dont suit me.
i'm looking at the cs 1969 pups, will they do that tone justice? i LOVE john mayer's big dippers, but they're too exp. i'm looking to get his tone, without spending shitloads of money. help?

Hello there, I suggest that you should look into your amp settings first, dial the middle frequencies down. You should try finding pups with more wounds to get a more mid-dish tone, correct me if I am wrong guys, we're all here to learn

What do you mean by reliable?

These are "boutique" and wound by hand, not the mass produced pickups like Dimarzio or Seymour Duncan.

Yeah they are obviously John Mayer-ish, as the name implies. I don't think any person would give a misleading name to their pickup.

No they are not noiseless.
