Strat pickups

Well guys the time has come when my maxtone strat pick-ups aren't cutting it for me. I need a heavy distortion sound and my pick-ups just don't give me that. I've been reccomended to check out seymour duncans but i don't know which ones are good. I'm a student so money is hard to come by and is definately an issue...so can anyone point me in some direction? I think i'll just replace the bridge pick-up ...

you should try going to the website and listening, but i would recommend duncan hot rails right away ....

Does you guitar have humbucker pickups?? They are more suited for metal sound.

If they are single coils only, then I suggest you can post a message on the net to swap and top up with someone else. Should be much cheaper, maybe $50 can offer.

one branded pickup and install cost as much as your guitar already. So you might consider other alternative.
