strange smell in the air

anyone else got a whiff of some weird-ass chemical smell?
was on the way back from camp and there was this really strange smell, i thought it was the aircon of the bus at first but when i got out it was still there.
only thing i could find on it was this

i got that, i live in sengkang ... My friend says there's a fire in hougang, but I don't think that's the cause.

yep... Could smell from my house plus it did look hazy...

Strangely the news yesterday mentioned it, but never mentioned what caused the smell. Weird huh? They did a long segment with people being interviewed saying how much the smell sucked, but not the cause.

it wasn't a strange smell. It was overwhelming.

Even my dog started to become extremely restless.

Some of my relative's friends said it was a gas leak in SengKang area.

NEA gives you the usual template reply...."we're monitoring the situation"....but never give you a concrete answer. Are they hiding something?
