What do you do with the stock cymbals/snare that come with your kit?

Just curious what you guys do with these.

I've a set of CX300 14" hats, and 16" crash lying around. I don't exactly need the money, so I'm not desperate to sell them. Same for my RT snare. But also taking up space in my cramped little corner in the house.

I've thought of selling them, but if I ever sell my kit (Pearl RT), the buyer will most likely be a beginner starting out, and it would be quite inconvenient for him/her to get a kit without cymbals or snare.

Just wondering what you guys do with them

for me it's like if get better snare still keep the older snare , but if stock cymbals I'll sell it away as there is no use ah

but too bad no better snare  , using imperial star snare

Haha, well, I was thinking of snares when I typed the poll, and I doubt most here in SG are up to experimenting with snares.

Yeah, I have taken a hammer to my cx300 16" crash.. been awhile since i touched it.

some dude in here is obsessed with hammering his cymbals! if im not wrong he posted pics of his kit too... full of home made cymbals... all stock hammered one..

for me, i use them ever since i got em and actually like the sound of it. wanna turn my stagestar stock cymbals into china.

i wouldn't advise you to turn the stagestar stock cymbals into chinas, cos they are far too soft, some light hammering to give them a raw sound is the most you can do...
if you hammer them into china's they'll pop into and inverted cymbal shape if you hit them too hard...
trust me i've tried.

ohh myner the hammering dude is u ah? no la i meant whack em till they sound like china. i saw peoples stock stagestar cymbals before. really sound like ma

i got a set of stagestar cymbals...
i hammered the hi-hat to give it a raw sound, and i'm currently using it as a splash, a very big splash... but mainly for accents...
it dents easily as its very soft... no point using them... i would rather go for other stock cymbals that are harder, like pearl and carlos...
