B brinkwine New member Sep 28, 2008 #1 Hello! I've got a > 15 yr old Yamaha SY77 2nd-hand, and some of the keys don't come up after being depressed. Yamaha doesn't service this model anymore (-.-!!! grr), does anyone know what I can do to repair it? Or is this great beast as good as gone??

W widdly New member Sep 29, 2008 #2 Sounds like it just needs a clean. It's probably had something spilt on it previously. I'd screw it apart and clean everything. You might be able to remove the keybed and clean that separately in the sink.

B brinkwine New member Sep 29, 2008 #3 hi widdly i was hoping it was just that, as it hadn't been used for quite a few years i think, had to remove some insect fossils when i got it. hee. don't know squat about keyboards, thanks for the advice.
