Squier Classic Vibe Series

This is a new series from Squier, presumably to bump up the MIM Standards in the desirability scale (according to online speculation). The specifications seem pretty good - tinted maple necks, pine/alder bodies, alnico pickups etc. I hope Swee Lee brings these in at a price comparable to online prices ($300USD at Sam Ash). Being able to buy a decent strat/tele at just over $400 will be awesome!

Agreed. I'm looking at the 50s strat, classic vibe tele and the duo sonic. The specs are indeed getting better. At least now they're using Alder more on the strats, unlike previously it was mostly Basswood or Agathis.

Interesting wood choices on some of the guitars too (mainly the vintage modified series), e.g. Indian Red Cedar...
