Spraying guitars

Hi guys!
I was thinking of spraying my guitar's body using a Pylox spray to create those non glossy effect. I would like to ask whether is it possible to do it and would it affect the playability and tone of the guitar.

i've did that many times.but i don't think that layer of paint will do any changes to the tone,unless you can hear beyond the human capability :mrgreen:

haha yeap my friend says he can hear the difference between a 3 ply pickguard and a single ply one.. he was damn serious

I've done that several times. I didn't hear any difference on the tone.

The pickguards, yeah it does affect the tone in my experience. Single ply (about 1mm thinner) makes the tone treblier. Using plywood as pickguard makes it even more treblier.
