they are the same? meaning all SPDIF Coaxial Digital Audio RCA cable has the same specs and components as Composite Video RCA cable? so Composite Video RCA cable can be used to transmit multichannel 5.1, DTS, Dolby Digital digital audio signals when connected to SPDIF input/output? i juz know sia :oops:

yeah..u're absolutely rite..i agree with u azacamis..im realli confused now..but i did try to use the yellow composite video cable to connect my GNX2 SPDIF out to my SB Audigy2 external hub SPDIF in..it works fine but im not sure whether the audio output signal is analog or digital..its sounds realli OK thru my speakers..haizz

any expert out there wanna share some information?

by the way, a user known as lowjk claimed that rca video cable can be used to connect SPDIF ins/outs..how true is this?..take a look at Gear Sound category..the subject is 'SPDIF Cable'..do take a look guys and give your comments/opinions pls...
 
Okay we can prove that the SB A2 is receiving in digital mode
1) Are you receiving the signal in stereo? If you are, it must be digital. Analogue stereo signals are sent in pair of RCA cables.

2) Connect the GNX2 digital out to the Audigy 2 analogue in? Is the A2 able to read any signal?
