The Music Lab sells play-along CDs for drummers. They're recorded by professional musicians in the U.S....beats playing to MIDI tracks hands down. PM me if you're interested.
Yup, The Music Lab stocks the same Turn It Up Series. We have all 6 volumes covering all styles possible (pop, rock, metal, brazilian, afro-cuban, jazz, funk etc). They're amazing!
Buy Tommy Igoe's groove essentials. it'll be worth it. TONS of tunes for ALL styles. In fact if you wanna set up your own drum school, I'd reckon this book will beat all other books, hands down.
Click The Picture and it will bring you to a large pic of the DVD - from here you can browse through to see what is the Content - - -Try it.
Bro funkifized I believe the Tommy Igoe Track is not what Bro drmmr really needs .... but he wants Songs without the Drum Parts .....Turn It Up Series is what he really needs now.
Yup, Tommy's book is great as a reference book. I have it in my school but the tunes are too short and you can't really practice song structures to it properly...its main purpose is to teach various grooves and thats it. Turn it up on the other hand has full song arrangements that is pretty much exactly what you'll be faced with in real live situations.
Also, I think it we should be careful to claim any teaching material to be the "Best"....I personally learnt from 15-20 books not counting transcriptions....For example, Tommy's Samba groove is only his interpretation...there are tons of samba grooves out there....so if we just use this one book as our drumming bible, then we're really losing out. Also, there are so many other grooves he did not cover too....
