Somehow.. i feel that there's no improvement.

Hi guys, me again.

couple of weeks back ago i posted a topic regarding as to how to improve playing in terms of speed, accuracy and flow. Well i guessed that the tips did helped me in having more patience with regards to getting it right, however somehow i feel that my guitar playing skills is stuck at a level.

However first off i must say that i am not expert in playing at all, i have been playing more than a year, less than 2 years, and its not like that i've hit the peak of guitar playing where i can play at crazy speeds and have fast moving fingers, i barely can do those triplets where you pick the note and then proceed to hammer the next 2, and then proceed to the next string, pardon me if there's a musical term for it, i'm not that good at my theory either.

That being said, i practice on a daily basis, or every two days when i'm busy.. however i feel there are things where i want to play and regardless of how long i practice on them i don't seem to be able to get it..

U need to practice with the metronome. Start slow. Hear the timing. If your are doing a triplet, then listen to the timing. Every beat of the metronome is a triplet. Hear the triplet and follow. Play according and slowly increase in speed. You have to understand the idea of timing very well.

just keep trying...

sometimes results will not come overnight....thats the thing about playing guitar or as doing other things as well......and everyone's also not the same...

not saying u r slow...cause some techniques really take years..& its a gradual process which sometimes u may not even not even realise it

its not that u are stuck...just takes time

your mind may learn fast, but its your muscle memory of your physical attribute that's slow...

the trick is do slowly...learn like a tortoise & you will improve like a hare....trust me...less than 2 years is relatively short period of playing guitar.....most learner can't get the feel within this period in general.....

keep trying!!!!

Hey man,

Practice, patience and perseverance go together.

If you're tired, just take a break. Put down your guitar, go and do other stuff, take a walk or something. Then try again when you feel more refreshed.

Practice something you enjoy, such as a specific piece you've always wanted to play, or a specific riff you've always wanted to learn. This will be more fun. Have a goal. Focus, and work towards it.

Have a great day! (:

Idk if this helps but for me what i realized is that whenever i dont progress much i just stop playing for awhile and when i start playing again im actually able to do things that i wasnt able to do previously

ah... trying to play this part of the song where by there are sixteenth notes triplets at 120bpm... T_T so fast i can only play at half the speed of it.
