Some Questions on JTS mic

Hi people. Please pardon me if this topic has been discussed before (I tried searching but came up with no hits).

Well, I was in Rankings and chanced upon this JTS microphone that is said to be an exact copy of the Shure SM-57 mic at almost half the price. Has anyone had experience with this microphone? Since I am looking for a mic and would like to save some $$ where possible, I would like to know how the JTS performs vis-a-vis the SM-57.

In fact, are there anyother microphones that are similar in performance and price to the SM-57?

as someone who once owned JTS mics (including the kick mic), i regretted, but then again i understand your situation of being in low budget. but to describe it to you in this way : Shure SM57 is a global industry level mic.and for $120+++ if you wanna save cash to buy half of the real thing. at the end of every recording you do from now on, you would tell yourself "I should have just saved another $60+ dollars for it.or waited for a 2nd hand offer". it's widely used for guitar cab miking/snare/toms. and sometimes screamo. a friend ever told me "You can never have TOO MANY SM57s" because of its reputation and multipurpose use.

there's another killer mic repped the "sm57 killer" called the audix i5. but if you ask me, I own both! both's good in its right. nothing kills each other hah. however the price for the audix i5 is twice of sm57 if i didnt recall wrongly. but the solidity, the flexibility (sounds great for vocals too) and all is worth it.

my advice is, either go for the cheapshit shot , like behringer mics.then you abuse the hell out of it, and slowly save for killer mics one by one and get them all replaced. or act as "spares". so you get best and worst of both worlds. the lousy gear acts as "purpose performers" and "wallet fatteners" to save for better gear in future.don't worry, SM57 has been around for decades, it's going to be around for another few decades at least.
