so i jus found out that my snare rim(batter) is out of shape, therefore i cant fit my skin properly,so is there anywhere i can get a new rim?it is 14" 8 hole tama swingstar snare.

any place to recommend?

if its slightly out of shape, you still can salvage it...i remember watching a vid of bob gatzen bending/putting pressure on it so it goes back to a perfect round!

wads the diff between a triple flanged hoop and a normal hoop?
> TF hoops are the norm these days. So it really depends on what you mean by 'normal'. Other styles include single-flanged, die-casts, wood, and of course, S-hoops, which are said to offer the best of TF and DC hoops.

help anyone? and how much is an S-hoop?
> I believe you can try asking SweeLee. If they don't have any in stock (very likely) they'll order in for ya, being the tama distri.

S-Hoops can be costly. They go for about US$35 each. Not sure how much Nigel sells them for.

S-hoop? do u mean superhoop II by Pearl?
> Kari, I believe ceing was referring to http://safehoop.com/. Check out the site. There's a review featured too. http://safehoop.com/img/drummer_review.htm

Don't know of any local stores selling generic hoops. An online source is http://www.drummaker.com/ Haven't tried any purchases myself.

how much is the superhoop?so strength wise which is stronger?tf,sf or dc?

If you're asking about local price, you gotta check with Nigel. US price I listed above.

'Strength' is hard to measure. In terms of rigidity, I believe DCs will be most, TF next, and SF the least.

i remember a shop which in front of Swee Lee Bras Basah is selling drum parts.

Ranking? They sell some Lazer parts. When I asked for hoops, they said they don't stock. I was hoping they'd stock some Gibraltars, them being distributors, but they don't either.
