i cant find any good sites tad shows wad equpiment james iha and billy uses. any way besides using mesa boggies, how they get those gish and simese dream type of distortion. neck pickups ? and wad type of pickups they use?

SP... One of my fav bands ever... One trhing abt Corgan's tones is that he uses alot of overdubbing for for his tracks and also he's a gear whore.. However if u wanna get instant Pumpkin tone u MUST have this one pedal...

SP tone

A simple cheat I've tried before is by putting the lows in your distortion to max and switch off the highs. Turn the fuzz(or distort) all the way and presto! Your own SP sound.
