slim-bodied accoustics.

Hi good ppl, i've recently came across Symphany music sch at causeway point and i saw this slim-bodied accoustic. the scale length was the same as any other accoustic just that the body girth was alot thinner, something slightly wider than a electric. i realised that the body was not made of wood(the top is wood) and im here in hopes i get an answer of the following questions =D :

- Are there bad points/stats on such kind of thin-bodied accoustics?
- Will the sound be major affected and not so pure?
- Anything else i need to know abt such accoustics?

Thank you for ur time.

to me, an acoustic is for carrying around and playing without the amp... those thinner bodied ones may/may not sound good plug in, but when not plugged in, really soft.. defeats its purpose for me...

i don't think its pluggable. oh i forgot that ur right, it'll sound softer ah. wasted, i tot a thin accoustic would be useful cause can carry in electric gigbag and comfy haha.

u want a thin acoustic with great sound? get those ones with the piezo pickups. i think godin has some, or the fender acoustic, or maybe a line6.

in the first place, (not defaming them in anyway though) i don really trust them for guitars! No offence!

Symphoy guitars are not known like Burny, Edwards, Tokai or even Suzuki for dat matter! so if anyone gets them, its probably gonna be a case of budget and/or trial and error.

in my opinion, juz save up for a better guitar! guitars are like investments! wanna get one, atleast get a reasonably good one! don settle for less!

u don wanna go home with a cheap guitar, and it somehow or rather screws ur day up in someway, when u knw if u were alittle patient and could have saved up more to get a better one!

As for acoustics, it'll be better to get the normal sized one, not the thin ones! cos the thin ones will restrict the sound flow and will not produce a good sound at all!

u can check out some shops to check em out, especially if u wan those electric acoustics!

Some places are Bras Basah Complex, Selegie and Peninsula Plaza!

Hope tis helps!
Cheers!
