I want to change my bridge pickup to a seymour duncan single coil humbucker. Is it advisable?

Cox the currrent stock usa texas pickups hums loads and the sound is not smooth too..

the rest are fine...so can change? so that the pickups become more power?

Does not matter which amp i am using..cox i am using my guitar thru the church's mixer...

i was thinking seymour duncan's single coil humbucker, the 59' or the screaming demon for the bridge..which will be better?

are you going to run your guitar through the line6 with cab modelling to the mixer? if not, chances are that it'll just sound bad.

between the two you mentioned, i would say lil 59 because it's simply a safer bet - more people like 59s than Screaming Demons.

If you want to keep the single strat tone without the hum, a compromise would be SD Classic Stack Plus (or the older Classic Stacks). for Dimarzio it's the HS2/3, depending how much power you want out of a pickup.

There's also the SD Hot Stack.

You also might want to consider shielding your guitar first before embarking on a pickup change.

A while back I picked up a hot rails for the bridge, a little 59 for the middle and the cool rails for the neck. This is a truly awesome combo. Any one of those pickups are great, but it depends on what tone you're looking for. I like the little 59 in combination with another pickup, usually the cool rails. The little 59 by itself sounds too 50-60's-ish.

If you're around the east, you can come over and try it out. [This is a MIJ strat ST-43].

depends on your set up- i have the Lil '59 in my Ibanez RG560, it handles high gain settings mostly & i'm very happy with its transperency.

Yeah, the little 59 clean tone is excellent.. rather than sending it thru a distortion. The hot rails are perfect for distortion. I love the tone when using a neck cool rails + mid little 59 through a mild overdrive. Really unique. You can try some of those options.
