in my opinion, there is no best whatsoever.. people do what they do best.. and theres a point in phreak's post.. completely different style/approach.. one guy can shred till the fretboard wear out or anything.. another guy can just go very slow and tackle em jazz runs.. both still is VERY good.. so yeah i guess thats all.. and thats my 2 cents or 5 cents or 10 cents.. whatever.. man. lol :lol:

Malek so called Malek Malmsteen ( yuks ) is a junk guitarist to me. He's nothing but noise. Nothing musical about his musics. He's proud too. My honest input is be humble and practice hard to be good. The bottomline is be yourself and everybody will appreciate your effort. If anyband is that good especially the Malay bands they should be nominated in the recent APM 2005 Awards. But, I see no Malmsteen wanna be being nominated! So be yourself to be recognized.

if he bears the malmsteen name then i'm pretty sure he better bear the malmsteen trademark by making his music sound "melodic" instead of noise if it's wad u guys say about him....

oh yeah by the way , u dun judge a guitarist at how many BPM he can shred on the guitar.wad matters most is the music he produces.

for all u know a guitarist can shred 10 times faster than malmsteen but all he produces is just noise.....
