signal boost pedal

is there such a thing as a pedal that'll boost the guitar signal into the amp? kinda like a volume boost for solos and whatnots. thanks

when he put whatnots, i also think of boosting cleans. with DS-1, don't think it would boost the signal cleanly, rather distorting it slightly but still noticable. i would still say mxr microamp(for boosting both clean and distorted), the RC for boosting cleans, the TS9 or any tubescreamer for boosting and smoothening out lead tones.
