Hey fellow Shredders, selling this totally brand new bad-ass Horizon III shred machine.

Essentially, I find two great features about this guitar – its fretboard and its tone.

- It’s neck through construction allows great access to the 20-24 frets, unlike bolt on guitars which limits or at least doesn’t make it feel so natural when you are hitting the 20+ frets.

- Ebony is a higher end wood than the typical rosewood fretboards. It’s considered to be brighter than rosewood and each note just sounds sharper and pronounced when you’re shredding on it.

- Extra jumbo fretboards make it more comfortable and natural for your fingers in terms of spacing.
- 24 frets – makes the guitar ‘complete’ as that’s two full octaves. I used to own a guitar with 22 frets and what do I do when the tab asks me to hit the 23 and 24 fret?!

- Tone wise, I find the alder wood quality simply amazing in terms of its resonance. When I play it unplugged, the resonance of each note and bend really comes through. I own an Ltd and Ibanez that’s made of alder wood… while sound is subjective, I find the alder wood in the ESP range to give a much richer resonance, which makes me think they are probably a better cut on the tree or just cuts from higher quality trees altogether.. if that can be measured somehow.

- Seymore Duncan pickups are good quality pick ups. Together with the Alder wood, the two words that came up to my mind when I first tried out this guitar on an amp was that.. Gee.. this guitar sure know how to ‘wail’ or ‘howl’. Feels so awesome to screw in the whammy bar and do a few dive bombs to finish everything off…

- Another few sexy features of this guitar – the gloss on its black body, the darkness of the ebony fretboard and its unique headstock shape (makes me think of it as a cousin to the Caparison).

- Yea, I’m familiar with the complaints by wives or mothers on “why do you need so many guitars?”, “there is no more space in the house”, etc… I just tell them it’s the same as handbags…why do they need so many? :p This axe is definitely a keeper in your arsenal as a shredder.
