Should i on the distortion of the amp if a pedalis used???

depends.

if you are using an intense distortion pedal (metal type), chances are, it's your primary distortion source, so you don't need the amp's drive.

some of us here like our amp's drive, more so with a mild drive/ distortion pedal in use for saturation or boost.

if you use a metal distortion pedal, you wouldnt really need the distortion on your amp...unless you use the distortion pedal for boosts in solos, like subversion said...

or...you could use a combination of both...zakk wylde does it...he uses the amp's distortion plus distortion from his pedal..i think...
