Hi guys! I'm looking for a place on behalf to set up a gig for a good cause! To Soundout against Sex Trafficking in South East Asia.

Any idea who can I approach for a free location, preferably a place with high traffic? And hopefully free equipments. Else what would be an affordable vender to approach for equipments?

What are the steps or authorizes I have to go through? I know nuts about setting up a gig and stuff.

Thank you in advance.

Why don't you talk to the management at Timbre at Armenian Street?

I have been there for charity events, where both invitees (of the charity) and walk-in guests are welcome, with Jack n Rai (and band) playing their usual gig. It's obviously not exclusive to the charity, but hey - even some walk-in guests ended up donating some money, which probably worked out well for all. This way, you're spreading awareness among your guests, and others who show up, and don't need to worry about anything from arrangements to music to band to equipment. And it works to Timbre's benefit because you're bringing in more people who'll possibly eat and drink, so more business for them.

But of course, if you MUST have it exclusive to your guests ONLY and must have your own band performing on their equipment, my guess is that not many venues would be open to that.

Kaye - so sori I was too BZ to give you the tracks for your CD project - schedule permiting, let me be the first to volunteer myself & RG for your gig ....

fgl: hey! No worries about that! :D We're still in the midst of figuring things out. Hopefully we will have something up next year! *fingers crossed* I'll be damn excited if we can get the gig and CD rolled out awesomely.
