This is one of my beloved ones … it comes the time to let it go to another player whom I hope will love it and take good care of it too.
Designed by Gibson's master luthier Ren Ferguson, it salutes the skill and spirit of the guitar builders at Gibson Montana. The back and sides are crafted of hand-selected figured maple while the immaculate AAA solid Sitka spruce top projects rich tone for miles. The easy-playing ebony fingerboard features mother-of-pearl block inlays and 20 frets. Body binding accentuates the body's flowing curves. Gold Grover tuners provide sure, accurate tuning. The neck joint is a hand-cut compound dovetail. The gold-embossed pickguard is a stunning finishing flourish.
The basic specifications are,
- Back and sides: Hand-selected figured maple
- Top wood: Hand-selected "AAA" Solid Sitka Spruce
- Case Included : Premium hardshell
- Fingerboard : Ebony
- Inlay : MOP block inlay
- Binding: Multiple bound body
- Frets: 20
- Machine heads: Gold Grovers
- Neck joint: Handcut compound dovetail
- Pickguard: Montana Gold
- Embossed Scale: 25 1/2"
- Weight: 5.36 lbs

This piece has been around for 7 years. While it is not new, it is well taken care of, moderately played and therefore any toneriting or priming have little effects on it ... already very opened. It has a dent mark on the top but it is not immediately obvious. Notice that the serial number on the label matches with the inspection checklist one. Also the pickguard has faded partially. If buyers are hunting for mint-used guitars, this piece may not be suitable. If you're looking for a perfect strummer with loud projection, this would be it. Last but not least, unlikely any regular maple bodied guitars, this piece possesses thick and warmth bass that surprise many who have tried it. Sold as it is. Letting go at SGD $4300
