hi everyone!
So i just bought a second hang guitar and was wondering if i should bring it to a shop to have it looked at and setup and strings changed, and if anyone has any recommendations? i am kind of on a budget of around 60 dollars? thanks a lot!!!

Go to Beez... at Basement 1 @ Excelsior Shopping Centre ... think its 01-34b (near the loos). Experienced guitar tech!

check out youtube for your guitar model set up....learn basic set up from there....save the $60....everyone should start from somewhere...now is the time to learn it from internet....only for certain repair and advance set up then you can go the guitar shop eg,wiring, changing of pups, neck problem, cracked or broken guitar, changing of bridge, refretting etc

To add on to the previous reply, and to serve as a recap, there are 4 major components of a basic setup,

1. Truss rod adjustment for neck relief
2. Saddle height adjustment
3. Intonation (2 and 3 are adjusted from the bridge)
4. Pickup height and balance

Quite easy to settle these on your own!

often overlooked is the neck tilt adjustment. i've come across many guitars in the shops in need of this tinkering.
