Hi guys, just thought I'll ask here.... anyone knows of any 7-string guitars, H-H config, 24 frets, with 2 pt nonlocking floating trem (aside from EBMM John Petrucci 7, and the John Petrucci BFR model as well of course, but those are expensive as hell for me).

Im looking into maybe <$1000 1st hand if possible.

Thanks!

the Ibanez K-7 has a dual-action whammy, unlike what Marksman specified...

Err yea Im looking for dual action (2 pt floating), but I do not want it to utilise locking trem.

Any brand is fine.

the 7-strings in the market are really numbered, the hype has died down, distributors are rightfully giving them less limelight. you're better off with a fixed bridge model & employing a whammy pedal maybe?

Perhaps. =\

But I just enjoy employing the use of tremolo... At the same time I want to have it nonlocking so that I can get GHOST pickups installed.

Pity Ibanez discontinued the 7-string prestige with piezo.

I've thought about getting the RG1527, and using BOSS Acoustic Stimulator, but it just ain't the same, though it is 1 of the ways (and still very affordable) around it that I can go for. Yeah I can do that haha.

if you are interested in a piezo equipped unit, one of the discontinued ibanez SA series is still available in the market- 6-string though...

yea, the market here is pretty limited for 7 strings players. but check out soft's classifieds sometimes a discontinued could pop up once in a while. Or if you willing to buy overseas you could go to sevenstring.org and check out their page. They got lotsa variety of 7s for sale at their buy/sell page. If im not wrong there's someone selling a 7 string squire. Happy Hunting!

Gorgeous. =)

I seriously wish Ibanez didnt discontinue RG2027 (Mahogany bodied 7-string RG Prestige with Piezo/LoPro 7). From what I read on other forums, it seems that it's one of the more well-liked units out there. But I guess it just doesnt have enough demands out there.

Have you tried Washburn X27?
It's extremely cheap, sub SGD500 I think...
And you can mod the hell out of it...
For that kinda price, you can't really complain about it...
