Hi, this seagull S6 is badly in need of a bridge reglue and the ends of the X braces are loose. So here are the results.
Kc
Heat applied to soften the glue for easy removal
After the bridge is removed, glue is applied under the bracing and bracing clamps are used. The area around the bridge is bulging somewhat so I flattened it with a block of wood and cam clamps to aid in the gluing of braces.
Glue from under the bridge is removed with a small scraper.
After the the bridge has been scraped it's now time to clean the glue from the top of the guitar.
After carefully taping up and applying some paint remover, the lacquer and glue comes off fairly easily. The surface is cleaned up with spirit and its ready for gluing.
Just before gluing
Bracing clamps are used again.
The guitar is back in good order again and the owner is happy that the tone has vastly improved from it's previous sad state.
