The NF-1 is a simple noise gate that just cut off all sound as soon as the level falls below the threshold set. Adjust the Sens knob to the threshold level where you want the pedal to cut off and adjust the Decay knob to how fast you want the sound to disappear. It's not going to get much easier than that. The NF-1 should by normal conventions be called NG-1, but NG could be interpreted as No Good so NF-1 for Noise Filter was chosen instead.

  [*=left]Powerful Mixed-Wave Modulator: Advanced L.F.O. technology allows that phase sweep to be driven with triangle (linear), sine, psuedo-square (vibe), rise, fall and stepped wave shapes in thirds, fourth, fifths, sixths and sevenths.
  [*=left]"Frozen Sweep" Capability: The L.F.O. is capable of super-slow 1/40Hz modulation rates to generate rich and complex comb filter effects. That's a sweep rate of 40 seconds! If this isn't slow enough then a constant output mode allows the comb notches to be "frozen" to create hollow sounding acoustic timbres.
  [*=left] C.V. Input For external control from a voltage source or EV-5 expression pedal for lots of phase modulation possibilites. Frozen notches can be moved up an down. This action can be used in conjunction with the internal L.F.O. of the Phaseomatic for articulate and beautiful sweep effects.

All Tube gain circuitry: The Tube Drive is the only pedal you can buy that has a complete tube guitar preamp inside - 100% analog, class-A, all-tube means no silicon in the signal path. This topology gives the Tube Drive fine control over a wide range of gain characteristics from mild breakup to creamy saturation.

  [*=left]Tube swapping: The tone and gain characteristics of the Tube Drive can be drastically altered by interchanging tubes - in fact the pedal was designed for easy access to the tubes for this purpose. It can be quickly and easily transformed into a hi-gain distortion beast, mellow blues driver or boost pedal by simply removing a tube and replacing it with a different type.
  [*=left]Bax-Stack "active" tube tone control: The Tube Drive is the only overdrive with an active tube tone control. The Bax-Stack is a real treble boost (and cut) circuit with zero insertion loss, unlike passive tone stacks which can only remove frequency content ("tone-sucking"). The tone range is optimized to work over important frequencies essential for mellow jazz tones to some serious crunch.
  [*=left]Low-end coutour switch: Active low boost for a warmer, richer sound. Especially useful with single coil pickups to thicken the sound or when playing at low volumes to compensate for loudness.
  [*=left]Daylight visible orange L.E.D.: Indicates when pedal is engaged.
