Rusty rusty nails!!

Hi softies,

I have a rusty problem with my 4-5 year old Ibanez GRG121 guitar.
The rust on the pole pieces on the pickups are looking really unsightly, rust on the pickup mounting brackets screws has caused the metal to become rounded thus making it almost impossible to unscrew those out and the old Ibanez fixed hard-tail bridge is also in a bad shape.

I'm not sure if you need to see a picture to tell me if it's a goner or salvageable but from what I have mentioned is there anyone who can give me a rough idea whether it is practical or worth it to bring it to a shop to replace parts or whether does the rust on the pickups affect anything at all?

Well you see, I am trying to sell this guitar...

if the head has become round, it becomes a problem. you have to drill it out and a shop usually charges more than $50 for such a job depending on how many screws are gone.

I would say don't bother to try restore it just to sell it, probably not worth your time and effort

What about the pickups pole pieces that are rusty? I heard it does not drastically affect the quality of the tone but it sure is really unsightly, is there anything that can be done to clean rust off the pickups?

No point la, clean already will rust again, even if it's for the sake of looking nice.
Just hope the buyer understands.
