Have anyone tried on the Roland Cube-30 amp over at Swee Lee ? Can I have some comments on it ?

Yeah… it’s an overall versatile amp but if you wish for an intense drive, you might have to supplement it with a pedal. Nevertheless, the blues crunch that I dialled in, is superb.

Where to get the pedal from ? Cost ?

IMO if you have to invest in pedals + the cube amp, you might as well save up for a better amp.

You can either go for a hard-drive pedal such as the Metal Zone et al, and use it as a stand alone unit for your overdrive needs, or you can opt for a booster type like the Tubescreamer et al.

Cube 30 is abt $500 before discount. Cube 15 about $250 to $300, before discount. Maybe you would like to take a look at modelling amps like Tech 21 Trademark 10. I've heard some reccommendations about it. So might be worth to take a look at Sinamex. It's based on the Sanamps GT2.

the cost is a tad bit pricey cos im just looking for a lower budget home practice amp thats around the cube 15's range in quality and price
