Hi all,

I am looking at Roland released Acoustic trigger set for drum recording:

Roland TMC-6

It doesn't seem to have proper user review in the internet.

Has anyone tried these tools before for recording drum?? What do you guys think about recording midi and use sampler sound like BFD2 blend 2 overhead live recording.

Thanks

The Triggers n TM6 are a killer! Super fast triggering but on acoustic kit, velocity twigging will take some time to get it perfect otherwise will have a lot of false triggering. A quick fix is to stuff up the drums a little to kill some overtones. It works great with BFD too, easy to hook up...

ups ups and ups......i'm a proud owner of the rt-10k and still loving em....its been almost 2 years now!!!goes well with my dm-5 module too!!!

was about to ask boky to ask smiledrumzzzzz and here he comes..... love the sound of his kick during the gig in odiocrib wif chuggaritual. nice......

seem to be all +ve feedback, very convincing~~thanks guys

any other serious issue except for the false triggering mentioned, like latency or others that i can't think off ??

really think to grab 1 set now, where is the place i can get the best deal for the set?? and i am considering the Alesis Trigger I/O to cut down the cost as well, good replacement for the roland TMC6??
