his right....the best u can do is to go to the shop check the thing out and test it...it could be the most expensive gibson in the world and it wouldn't be useful if u didn't test it and realised it sucked

i get what you mean & understand your situation

for me not only the bike has to be ok, aftersales/service/ whom i get from makes a difference

timbre is ok been reviewed here many times, there is another newer 'smash' brand worth looking into as well

try go to standard value shop, find out when mike is going to be around & feel free to ask him for recommendations

or better go meet both mike & the ebay rocker guy, by then it'll be much easier for you to decide which bike workshop to go to.. hehe

i did? he he... just a realistic consideration we should note prices & recommendations when shopping but trying guitars in person is definitely recommended b4 we part with cash- the headstock of a guitar might bear a famous brand name but it might not be the one we prefer...
