ROCK FOR WAYNE - Help Needed

Rock For Good was Wayne's last passion before he died. It was his last gung ho effort to give the local scene a gig to rave about and kick it back to life.

Now that he is gone, a group of us will be continuing the organization for Rock For Good, now titled Rock For Wayne . It will be a gig dedicated to his life and his passion to put Singapore music on the map; both in the limelight or working like crazy behind the scenes.

If you are interested in helping in any way in organizing Rock For Wayne; however large or however small, it doesn't matter. Everything and everybody counts. Please drop a MSG in my inbox with whichever area you feel you can help in, and I'll contact you asap.

All proceeds from the show will be donated to his family and to non-profit gig organizations dedicated to bringing more great local concerts to the scene.

Thanks for the private msgs so far and do keep them coming!
Wayne wouldn't have wanted the gig to be a sappy memorial-type thing for him but would probably want all of us to rock the f*ck out anyway!

bands like electrico have expressed keen interest, so has West Grand Boulevard, Caracal, etc. We are welcoming more bands to play but will still need to narrow down the lineup only due to time restraints of the venue booking.

Ticket runners to help sell tickets and spread the word would be really really helpful at this point in time. As well as foods and drinks (So the peeps there won't starve!), contacts with merchandize suppliers, t shirt designers, people who are good at stringing video footages together, people good with lights, etc.

Does anyone have any good t-shirt lobang? can print colour at a good price
Also any contacts for hardcore gig props like lighting, confetti cannons (!!!!), smoke machines and basically anything you can relate to a KISS-gig. KISS was always one of his favourites heh

Anyway the venue of the gig has been upscaled from the Far East Pavilion to D'Marquee thanks to incredibly kind sponsorship and support.

I've got wonderful news for everyone.
The bands and people in Melbourne where the Suns toured extensively will be putting together their own ROCK FOR WAYNE concert down under.

We're in the process of also trying to compile a greatest hits Boredphucks/Suns album, along with doing a special limited sale of a special compilation album featruring all of wayne's favourite singaporean and australian bands and stuff he was working on just before his passing. Because there are so many, expect a multi-disc collection!

Bands that have differences, people that have had differences with each other, have all agreed to put their grudges aside, if at least for a day, to be part of Rock For Wayne. in the spirit of the local scene we all love.

Keep the messages coming pls, and if u wish to help in any way, u're all welcomed. Apologies if I haven't gotten back to u immediately but i definitely will.

We're currently looking for comic artists of any sort; amateur or pro, budding or retireeeeee, to volunteer their talents in designing the cover art of the RFW compilation album. The compilation album will feature local acts as well as some of Wayne's favourite melbourne acts and is likely to stretch across a wopping multi-cd set!
