RIP JOHN MUTHUIAH

John was one of the pioneer batch of oldie musicians who travelled abroad to "cari makan" .... in Taiwan, Japan etc.

After his fulltime days were over John returned to SG where he did an assortment of session work - including some corporate gigs for my band Retro Groove.

John had a heart attack while at work yesterday evening, he died enroute to hospital.

A true blue musican and keyboard player extraordinare, John will be missed.

For anyone who knew him & wish topay their last respects - PM for wake / funeral details

I do not know who John was but as a respect towards fellow musician, my condolence goes to his family. RIP JOHN MUTHUIAH...

Yep, John was a career musician who travelled regionally with the group "2nd Edition" and other top bands in the 70s .... really good keyboard player... prolly the old & older skool musos here would know him.

Sympathies. A very good keyboard player indeed. Period. Had the opportunity to play with him in a few gigs in the early 90s when I was still catching up. Been to his place & also taught me a few songs & tricks too. Loved to see him play Santana on his Hammond organ. Really. RIP JOHN.:(

Lots of musos came to his wake last night at SG casket - in fact they even brought drums, keyboards, amps for a jam session (which started late & I could not stay for).

John's funeral is today at 5pm - cottage leaves SG casket for Mandai crematorium.

So long John, you will be missed.
