RG321MH or S120

Hi! I have been looking for guitar lately.
Would considered myself a newbie. But i've been
playing Acoustic guitar for one to two years. Still not
good in terms of skill wise. Can play using the
first three frets only. *sucks* Thinking of improving
my skill by acquiring a new guitar. :D

Read all of subversion GEAR news 2005.
To my amazement, with the price range from 400
Sing to 500 Sing, one can have a decent guitar.

Well! After having read all the review, i came to
the decision of either getting a RG321MH or
S120 since i am a beginner in Electric. Among the two,
i like RG321MH more, but the pricing listed in GEAR news
2005 is $640 Sing Dollar, a bit steep for me.

Do you guys know, apart from Swee Lee, is there
any other shop(s) that carry this model and
at a discount list price? I do not mind going
to JB if its cheaper. Any of you know about this.

As mention before, i am a newbie in electric guitar,
when going for a test, what should i test for? I know
this sound cheesy.. please help here.. thanks.... :P

Swee Lee is the sole distributor for Ibanez products in South East Asia.

So chances are you won't be able to find anything cheaper, unless it's second hand, or taken off Swee Lee.

Whoa... sounds like there is no alternative around eh.
Swee Lee has the monopoly.....

Might need to considered other brand then.
Any suggestion apart from Ibanez that cost
around 300 to 500 sing dollar? Interested in
a very versatile guitar that can play Jazz, blue,
and rock..... since i am a beginner in electric guitar,
would prefer Fixed Bridge guitar...

wait fot the swee lee sale to see if u can get the guitar at any cheaper... i ain't sure abt the date but u can always check out swee lee's website for information

well that's list price. usually sweelee do give about 20-25% discount depending on the product. Do take a trip down, test the guitar and ask for a good price. :)

Whoa... 10% to 20% discount. Guess i will have to make
a trip down there and test it.

Do any of you know, is this RG321 made in China or Indonesia?
Or is this really an issue. Since its from Ibanez, there should have
at least some assurance irregardless of where it is produced.
Am i right?

both the RG321 & SA120 are Korean. the korean Ibanez these days are superb, otherwise, Marty Friedman would've ignored the Korean SZ models...

i would've chosen the SA120 myself but it's a quetion of practicality- i wanted a dual humbucking, mahogany bodied guitar but i don't whammy, so the RG321 was my choice 8)

Thanks for all of the feedbacks.

Subversion. Reason why i have chosen RG321
rather than SA120 is mainly
due to the ease of replacing the strings.

I do like SA120 too, but due to the Whammy
bar that makes me a little edgy when come
to replacing the strings in the future.

if i'm not wrong sweelee does'nt deal in malaysia rite?onli indonesia,singapore...i'm a fan of rg321 too:) if i got the cash i'll get another one for spare keeping hahaha.

Well! Sounds like music to my ear. Swee Lee only deals with Singapore and Indonesia.

So... anyone visit Malaysia often or staying in Malaysia... care to check how
much is this RG321 and SA120 cost..... hee hee thanks in advance.

if i m not wrong, it shld be the roland cube 30.....the one that y own and try to psycho people to buy too. LOL...

how much is the roland cube 30 cost though?

Any of you using Marshall MG15-CDR? Is this a good recommendation
apart from Roland Cube 30? I am looking for something from $80 to $180 Sing dollar.....

Praetorian Thanks dude for the pricing.

Hope i will be able to play like most of
you guys in the future or be able to
play songs from Guitar Technique
mag.... any of you read this.. its
really good. with cd and musical
chords..... bought it for 17.90 sing :D
