RG2228 and others

I went down to Swee Lee Bras Basah just now to try some guitars and stuff.

I asked the lady boss if the RG2228 was coming and I was pretty surprised when she said "who plays eight strings here?". Apparently there aren't any plans to bring in the RG2228.

Also I asked about the S7320 and seems like it isn't coming here.

Question is, are we gonna be denied the new 8/7 strings or are there arrangements for them to be brought in at a later date?

With regards to the RG2228, I think everyone will want to try it out before they buy one. I've already read reviews about the sound balance problems between the low and high strings. Also the feel of the neck and fretboard, I think all these will be very unpredictable as we're talking about an 8-string.

Will swee lee be helping us out in that area? I don't many of us will consider investing so much in an instrument we haven't tried yeah? It's a totally new model too, no one here can give us expert advice regarding it.

will swee lee be bringing in the X series as well? i'm interested in them. particularly the warrior lookalike.

Hi Gjkung,

Due to the fact that these two models are very new, to have it in our usual list of orders might take a while, depending on Factory Availability.

Based on my personal experience, Sometimes, newly released models could take up to 6months to reacho our shores (TBC). S7320 was escalated much earlier so would be expecting shipment in March. But not RG2228, as they are yet to be confirmed by Factory on possible arrival date.

Our 'Special Order' services are for individuals who would need the gear urgently to have them shipped specially for the customer upon confirmation.
