*321- fixed bridge/ 320- Floating vibrato, Edge III model
*321- mahogany body/ 320- basswood body
*321- no laminate top/ 320- maple laminate top
*321- has 2 versions: lacquered gloss/ satin finish

the ultimate consideration here would be- does the RG320 fulfil your needs? many would agree that it's a good guitar per se.

it's not a floyd rose unit, it's the EDGE III floating vibrato bridge- which is Ibanez's take on the floyd system.

yes they do, if you want an RG with that spec, they are all Prestige makes eg: RG3120. there are also other RG variations with substantial maple top, namely the RGA & the RGT selctions.

if you don't mind a non-RG make, the discontinued S540FM is still available here 8)

i got it via a special ahem* haha ya for $580 during the ibanez sale last time round. listed is $900 if im not wrong. And as for the tone, depends on the amp and efx u're using too but a typical RG tone cant run away from this unit.

the S540FM should list for about $1,600- yup it's even lesser than the current S520EX... however, availability is doubtful. i've seen 2 at swee lee's bras basah showroom 8)

how long ago did you see this and at which outlet and what color? haha actually i live in australia.. just moved here from sg this year but i still buy most of my stuff from sg. the rg320 costs SGD1300 (after exchange rate) here.
