Regrading BOSS me-25

Hi . I am using a Boss ME-25 with a beginner guitar. When i first tried to record my guitar sound with the USB interface of Boss me-25 it sounded REALLY BAD . Is there a problem with my guitar,My computer's sound card or the Pedal ?
