Hello friends, I think the regional indie scene deserve a mention and a following in this forum. Therefore I've decided to make the longest-titled thread and dedicate it to posting about that indie new band you just discovered from Bandung or posting about how P.K.14 is god's gift to china and you're a super hardcore fan! I've posted this before but the thread got buried, so please do add your recommendations and links here! This is by no means a comprehensive list of the bands you should listen to, but rather a guide to what you think is good to listen to.

furniture - sexy malaysian indie band
citizen of ice creams - malaysian pretty post-rock/indie band.. whee!
freckles - cute taiwanese indie pop
'bittersweet' - malaysian indie band, kinda like pinholes
my little airport - awesome hk indie pop girl duo
carsick cars - talented indie rock band from shanghai, played with sonic youth
'nipples' - one of the first post-rock/experimental taiwanese bands
we save strawberries - indie/post-rockish taiwanese band
elf fatima - pretty good shoegazing/post-rock hk band)
cheer chen - another taiwanese girl with a guitar. great singer
juliet the orange - great indie pop band, RIP
the pancakes - one girl english twee pop band
cao fang - sweet chinese indie pop singer
ferns - malaysian twee-ish indie pop band
