hey guys.. what guitar would you recommend that has the following features :

25 1/2 scale length
22/24 frets
Rosewood fingerboard
S-S-H configuration
One master volume/tone
Coil tap for bridge humbucker

Budget : 1k

Thanks in advance.

These sound like the features of Ibanez SA series guitars, and Fender Strats. Both of these two don't come stock with a coil tap switch, but that's the least of your worries, they can be easily installed.

thanks for the replies guys. I don't know about the yamaha.. i'm not too fond of their necks. Had my friend's 112J to toy around with for awhile.. i just couldn't feel at home with the neck. Maybe its just cause i have extremely long fingers (think Paul Gilbert and longer)

I'm greatly interested now in the ibanez sa 260FM model. Does anyone know how much it lists for at sweelee?

And that reverend guitar sure does look to be sounding killer.. wouldn't mind buying one of those the next time i have cash.. which will be a long time from now :(

the SA260 is a superb player, rightfylly retained in Ibanez's catalogue (the younger sibling- SA160, has been discontinued) to represent a quality instrument without a costly tag. List: $750

with a budget of $1K, the mahogany RG450 should be a value-for-$$ acquisition for you 8)
