Recommendation for books on composition

Hey everyone, anyway I recently became intersted in composition and arrangements. Anyway, after reading a bit about the species of counterpoint and doing a few excersies, i'm hoping to get a book to reinforce my understanding of the subject.

So does anyone have any recommandations on books on counterpoint techniques or composition or arrangements.

Also are the book counterpoint in composition by Slazner and
Harmony and voicing by Aldewell any good?

For one i prefer hardcopy over softcopy..easier to read imho.
Also the reason why i wanna would rather get books is because a book allows you to follow more or less a path whereas it is not so easy to guage if online material suits personal needs.
