Hi guys, its been a while since I made some Interesting(yet maybe nonsense posts) .

Now I'm getting frustrated playing the same old song like AVENGED SEVENFOLD..
I know many agrees that its sucks since I started to hate them too:):)

So for those who had been success learning your type of songs or anyone , can you recommend me any more songs for me to learn..I really need to improve my skills on guitar ...I just played for 3 months coming to 4 th as I owned up that I was still a noob:(:(

slowly learn Bullet for my Valentine. learn the songs from their first album. the tuning may differ a bit from A7x but since you're bored of them, then its best to give BFMV a try. try Hand of Blood, though that song ain't from their first album. haha

but at the end of the day, you should play songs that you like. maybe Metallica or whatever

I'm sorry but this is truly my two cents worth. Been playing for a couple of years but I'm still a noob. This is how I feel about selection of songs to start with. Yes , you may like to listen to songs like A7X, BFMV and other songs roughly in that genre ; but you see, choosing those songs to practise and apply your fundamentals as a beginner may not be a good choice. My suggestion is to try simpler, yet melodic pieces like more classical rock/pop songs . For example, if you really like A7X, then Warmness on the Soul is a good number to start with. Slow, melodic, hear it-hum it-play it kinda of song. "Crazy lil thing called love" by Queen is also good to start. Nice rhythm pattern and short catchy solo. Bon Jovi has nice songs like "You give love a bad name" with fairly easy riffs and a nice solo to go along. Carlos Santana "Black Magic Woman" and "Oye Como Va" have also good guitar arrangements , if you're looking for a slightly different feel. Don't get me wrong here bros, I may be in my 30's and you might think this old foggie is outdated, but hey I listen to the more recent stuff too. Ranging from soft/emo rock to heavier stuff like A7X, BFMV, Trivium and down to weird stuff like Meshuggah. Just that I feel all these may be nice to listen to but not really suitable to practise your fundamentals with..... Just my 2 cents.

if u ask me metallica's riffs are always a good place to start. cant go wrong with enter sandman. altho its played to death lol.

Canon rock??what the hell??That song was nice to listen but way too hard for me..

By the way, arsony, thx man for the tips...SO i guess u played a7x and bfmv too..

don't call yourself a noob haha i've been playing 2 years and i still cant solo or anything fancy . Its just that i refuse to learn something im gonna have to be forced to give up when i go out to sea haha . In your case you have your reasons . Go for the slower more easy to listen songs

maybe you should ask yourself what technics you wanna acquire.lets say alternate picking then hamonies from metallica is good to start with.

its pretty useless if you wanna hear people's suggestion but in the end you dont learn a thing cause you dont have interest in the song but you still play cause people say its good.follw your intuation.sounds cheesy...

Well yeah...love 'em! I listen more to A7X though. Their older albums are better actually. Also listen to lots of Creed and Alter Bridge. Becos of that, I've fallen in love with the Dual Rectifier sound...... patiently waiting for a good lobang to buy one. The obvious route to get one , ie via Bentley Music in MY is also obviously out of the question for obvious reasons.... at least I'm not the only one here who feels the same way.... sigh..

But Dime's right too. Find out which part of the fundamentals you want to practice and then if you are not sure which songs highlight that technique, then ask around. The magazine Guitar Technique I find is very good in this aspect. They teach you technique and then show you real song examples. I have a whole collection of GT articles in PDF format. Lemme know if you want them.... Just my two dimes worth.. (Shit, sorry, really cant help this ...haha!)

I started with Sweet Child O' Mine.
I've been playing for 2 months now, and i only know how to play the Intro and the 2 slow Solos T_T

take it slow and steady..
its not possible to learn the solo in 1day or even weeks/months.. the technic involve, harmonics,dynamics..
one more thing, not playin fast DOES NOT MEAN you are a noob.. i personally like slow melodic tunes but also hard rocking, funk stuff.. does not mean u shred till your guitar melt means u are a fkin pro.

currently i'm goin crazy over cliffs of dover, practiced for months, can only get it done 3/4 the tempo... T-T

i would say dont rush into shredding. Once u enter the "Shred" realm without fundamentals like strumming/right timing or any basic stuff,u will tend to be a sloppy player. IMO.
