somebody recommend me to a really good singing teacher please!! or does anyone know of any place that organizes good singing classes?

I can recommend the vocal classes from here:

http://www.fusionxmusic.com/

I just completed their beginner course, and I have learnt a lot! And had a lot of fun too :) The teacher has a very positive attitude, and is committed to having his students do well.

know a guy named Thomas Quek??
i tell you he is real good....he teaches choir from various schools around singapore...and he's got reputation too...

he is a classical choral coach that type of guy but it helps you to stay grounded before you move on to watever genre you want to do....anyway he used to teach me too...

i dont know how to contact him so i dont know his number...sorry bout that but yea...just to let you know...

i recommend begineers to take classical vocal lessons first...thats my way la...so just to let you know only...

Hi there seems like we both got our basics from classical music, or choral singing !!!
My teacher is David Lim also runs schs to schs teaching choir. I join with him 6 years liao.

SAd now finish army wan to find him but he has retired...

Anyway i learn most of the basic during these choir sessions. the rest is ... depends on what u like.

TO TS: I don't believe so much in good teachers cos its always 30% teacher 70% self. In this case singing add in another 30% for talent. I believe one can be taught to sing nicely in maybe a kok hall with plenty ppl who would praise you, but in front of a judges n teachers on singing, that will be somehow hard. see whats your target as well...

Singing classes

If you would like to have some Pop Singing skills and like to be taught by real producers, you might like to try out TinyBox Music.

Their classes you get to study in a recording studio enviroment very often. and also you will get the chance to sing in a recording studio in the very beginning of the lesson and even before the lesson started.

They are also closely in contact with the pop music industry

This is their websites: www.tinyboxmusic.com
Their contact number and address are all in the websites.

Go and take a look and you may find something you like there.

hi hi, you can also check out Aaron's profile.. he's a vocal coach at Intune Music School (http://www.intunemusic.com.sg). The school has many performances for all of their students, and they have more than 100 performance videos uploaded on youtube for everyone to watch!

Aaron also has his own international singing website (http://www.your-personal-singing-guide.com) with lots of resources, vocal exercises and singing drills for singers and music lovers all over the world. Check it out and see if you think that he's the vocal coach for you.. ;-p

Yeah...should look for our Mod Sage!!! She's a killer in singing!! I don't know if she's taking in any more student. Just PM her and no harm asking.

Good luck!!

Things have changed since I posted here some time ago :) My current recommendation is Daniel Singh, the speech level singing teacher. There's a thread about SLS here

looking for vocal coach too

i'm also interested in taking voice lessons, anyone able to take a student now? please pm me.

have some background; took piano lessons and played in school bands for a while, but have never actually explored singing except during the three months in acjc choir (sop 1).

i'm a vocal coach who has had lots of performing experience :)

not sure if i'm allowed to post my link here...! but yuppp... you can visit my blog for more information!
www.jkmusiclessons.blogspot.com

and i'm sure everyone here is as good! :)

i'm a strong believer that singing is two-way, and that all of us here can learn from each other :D
there's no one or two "Right ways" to sing. it varies with the quality and tone of every singer's voice :D
