Fina guitars also aren't too bad. Mine's an ovation copy, and it looks awesome, and the sound's pretty decent (well on my piece it is). Got it at Davis for $250. I'm sure there are other models there, you could go check it out.

Probably won't sound as nice, but it won't damage the guitar. Doesn't apply vice versa though.

Really? Hmm...coz I'm not really a big fan of the wounded 3rd string..

Well.. Not sure because I haven't really done something like that before, but it definitely won't damage your guitar and I've heard of people using electric guitar strings on acoustic. You'll have to try but generally nothing bad should happen to your guitar.

for 200 i think the jack and danny are a good bet, generally nice sounding and provides solid top within that budget which i feel is vital to a guitar's resonance and projection hence sweetening the playing experience just my 2 cents worth

In the end I guess you'll have to go down for yourself and check out which sound appeals to you the most. We can offer you suggestions like Takas, J&Ds, even Congress and Maestros but it is ultimately you who will make the decision on which is an aural pleasure to your ears......and your wallet, too!
