Hi guys, I'm looking for some cheap guitar, strat style body S-S-S for me to trash ard and do projects on. Any recommendations on what should I get? Actually wanted to get a Squier, the reviews from Harmony Central are telling me that it sucks and best bang for buck is to get a Samick. What will you guys recommend

squier actually isnt as bad as people make it out to be bro.
alternatively you wana go do projects on it, why not get a tgm or something. eventually, i think you'd trash it and DIY an entire guitar anyway.

if youre not too anal about it all, i'd say tgm not bad lah. but sx and samick are good too

if you're gonna dissect it & employ a make-over, it doesn't really matter yes? if i were you, i'd get something playable, everything else can be worked on so why worry too much...
i'm not aware if people generally deem the Squier products to be bad. like crossfire said, there are issues with certain series, not the entire selection.

Basically if you are lookibng for cheap guitars...you'll get what you pay for..
I have a Squier Strat - big headstock with diecast Tuning heads. 21 med frets on a rosewood fingerboard. Unique "bright" 3 tone sunburst body with the edges in black covering the entire back of the guitar (only front is sunburst per say) - solid wood. 3 squier pick ups on a 3 ply white pick guard.
Never used before - still with the box it came in

Hmmm......r u modding the guitar or using it stock? U might wanta try the Squier California Series, i saw them at Music Theme at Peninsula Plaza i tink.....or issit cheaper elsewhere? Jus stay away frm the Affinity Series and u'll be fine.
